Background Information:
Mini Mealworms, aka Dark Mealworms (Tenebrio obscurus) are NOT mini-sized mealworms (Tenebrio molitor). They are actually not mealworms at all but are a
cousin of the mealworm. Our Mini Mealworms are approximately 1/2 - 3/4 inch in size and are very nutritious and high in protein (please see nutritional
analysis to the right). These Mini Mealworms are perfect for feeding to a huge variety of animals, including: frogs, turtles, lizards, geckos, baby monitors,
agamas, sugar gliders, short-tailed possums, hedgehogs, finches, canaries, guineas, pheasants and other small birds, oscars, cichlids and many many other
types of animals. Mini Mealworms are much more active than the common mealworm, so they are more enticing to your animal and often induce a feeding response
in picky and finicky eaters. Mini Mealworms are also very easy to care for and require very little maintenance. Give them a try - You won't be disappointed!
